Touch and Identify Cart

Description : -Goal of Activity: To awaken the residents' sense of touch by Noel Martinez

Materials :

Three deep

empty tissue boxes with the hole cut big enough to fit a human hand

Three objects of different shapes, sizes, and textures.

Instructions :

If the resident chooses to participate, place one tissue box at a time, in front of the resident.

Guide the resident to place their hand inside and feel the objects, one at a time. They must guess what the object is.

Also, guide the resident to describe what they feel, even if he/she cannot guess it.

If they do not guess the object pull it out of the box and show the resident, and explain what it is.
